Amy Winehouse Planned On Adopting 10-Year-Old Girl

The Sunday Mirror reported today that the late Amy Winehouse was in the midst of adopting a 10-year-old girl from St. Lucia prior to her death. The 27-year-old Rehab singer met the girl two years ago while on vacation and took a liking to her. Dannika Augustine told the Mirror: “Amy was already my mother. I would call her mum and she would call me her daughter. She was the most amazing person and I was looking forward to living with her here or in London. I cannot believe she is gone. This is the worst thing that ever happened to me.” So what’s the backstory on Dannika? Her parents split shortly after she was born, and her father lives in Germany.
